The new UMass Amherst Makerspace is the very first phase of the UMass Amherst Makerspace & Maker Network project!
The mission of the UMass Amherst Makerspace is to serve as an interdisciplinary hub for makers on campus. The makerspace is open to students, faculty, and staff of UMass and the Five Colleges and provides training and access to equipment. The makerspace serves as a focal point for the maker community on campus, hosting events and workshops, facilitating connections between makers, and connecting groups with expertise and other maker resources on campus.
We’ve been mapping out the Maker Network here at UMass Amherst, check it out here!
Follow us on Instagram, where we frequently post snapshots of projects and everyday life in the All-Campus Makerspace.
UPDATED: We have moved to our new location, Agricultural Engineering Building North Rooms 120 & 122. We will officially reopen on the first day of the semester, Tuesday September 5th.
Note: Summer access is limited to staff and volunteers as we set up tools and equipment in the new space. If you are interested in volunteering during this time reach out by email.
